Works quite well, I use it as a replacement for TrekBuddy (my maps required conversion to mbtiles format though). It does the job. I like it despite one or two annoyances.

I loaded in my own kml file, the only reason I wanted this thing, and I crashes every time I try. Save your 3$, dont buy this piece of crap.

I tried some apps (there are not really many) where one can overlap you own maps over google maps etc. and no one does it as well as this one. With a lot of additional useful features this is a must have for bikers, treasure hunters, adventurers etc. And yes, you can use it offline.

This is a really solid app if you travel at all. It has a full GPS system and tons of different maps from around the world installed, but best of all is you can import maps easily AND make your own maps using scanned images! This has been real useful to travel, and has a bunch of other interesting uses as well. I like to use offline maps so I dont have roaming costs, so this app works perfect for that and has more offline options than any other app. 5 stars!

Please add retina support!! Ive downloaded Moscow map, but in street looking mode maps only online! Why?

Be careful! This app in fact DO NOT supports OZI map format! It produces hundreds of meters mismatches on the map edges wile the same map works excellent in original OziExplorer/OziMobile.

I cant changed coordinate format from D to DMS. Reload programm isnt helping

This app is probably the most amazing app you will find on the App Store. It essentially allows you to save maps to your phone with a bunch of other handy navigation/trip tracking options. If you travel at all you know how hard it is to get a Data plan on your iPhone for a reasonable price, and even when you do theres no guarantee of getting service! This app turns you from a lost foreign traveler to an expert navigator. The UI is clean, easy to use, and absolutely functional. One other use case I found for this was for folks who have an iPod touch or do not have a data plan on their iPhones. Offline maps can help you find your way around with any data connection! Perfect for the two groups I mentioned above and travelers! This app is really amazing in its depth of features and utility value. Get this app now and never be lost again!

I have been looking for an app like this for a while online, and to be honest the cool icon design is what attracted me to this one. My Geology class has been doing a few lessons involving Google Earth, but I needed something I can use while in class to ask questions and that will help me with more accurate coordinates. This app looks like it has it all from what I can tell! The compass feature seems to be super accurate and does just what I need. The maps are neat looking, not 100% what I am used to, but overall this app is really neat and has some cool features!

Personally I enjoy hiking and cycling on my spare time. This app is perfect to track your routes and go places where there is no cell tower.

Yes this is the coolest mapping app that Ive purchased. Lets just say your going on a hiking trip, or on vacation to an island in the tropics. If you dont have data access, your iPhone, or iPad navigation is not going to workout too well for you. This is where DIY Maps GPS comes in handy. You can search for a map from google maps and overlay tiles from other mapping sources. Add in the Millions of Points of Interest worldwide and you have the ultimate offline mapping tool. After you get use to the interface you will be using DIY Maps GPS to create offline maps for the places you travel most. Contacted the developer and he promises Nautical maps in an upcoming release. Ohhh baby.

I love being outside, whether for hiking, camping, running or just enjoying nature. However, many portable GPS units have limited information and capability—I sold a Magellan because it didn’t provide me much information. You can track your yourself through GPS and even figure out speed and cadence using your bike—something I can’t wait to try out once all this snow melts! This is like Google Maps and Garmin and on steroids. The capabilities and customization are well worth it. No need spending hundreds on a new device that is obsolete in months when you can have a fully customizable and updateable app that will grow with you and your travels. Easily worth the low price.

Great app! I can download the maps i need. Great for finding hotels and attractions. Particularity if you are new to a city. Highly recommended the app.

Wonderful if you are hiking or do more off the road travel, you can literally use any kind of map and create your own. No roaming charges is great for when you are abroad, when you actually need your map. The interface is well designed, I love the presentation. A great maps alternative with the added benefit of complete freedom.
